The Employment Service of Slovenia has published on its website - on the Employers Portal - an application to claim reimbursement of wages for workers on standby or ordered quarantine.

The basis for implementation is the Law on Emergency Measures in the Field of Wages and Contributions (Zakon o interventnih ukrepih na področju plač in prispevkov (ZIUPPP; Uradni list RS, 36/2020), which entered into force on 29.3.2020. The deadline for submitting an application for employees who have been placed on standby before the law enters into force is 8 days after the law enters into force, or 8 days after the worker is posted on standby.

At the Employment Service of Slovenia, the Employment Service of Slovenia is responsible for implementing the part of the law relating to:

  1. partial reimbursement of wages paid to employees who are temporarily unable to provide employment due to the consequences of the epidemic and fulfil the conditions specified in the law,
  2. reimbursement of wages to employees who are unable to perform work due to a ordered quarantine due to an epidemic (under the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases).

You will be able to claim both reimbursements through an online application on our Employer Portal. Before you first use the portal you register. Electronic applications for partial reimbursement of wage compensation and reimbursement of wage compensation for quarantined quarantine have been submitted as of Wednesday 1 April 2020.
